boyfriend jeans

We’ve all seen the celebrities wearing baggy “boyfriend” jeans lately. The question is, have they done it well? For the most part, they could have done it better. The celebs I’ve seen wearing the trend, got it wrong by pairing it with a loose cardigan and tee. The look fell flat, and looked frumpy. In order to get this look right, you need to pay attention to proportion. Since you’re baggy on the bottom, you want to stay fitted and feminine on top. The truth is, there is something so sexy about pulling on your boyfriend’s jeans after spending a night in his arms. And … I’ll be honest, if my boyfriend looked like one of these guys I would gladly wear his jeans. It’s all about hanging on to the moment, basking in the after-glow of love. I’m guessing there is a necessary element to this look that only some of us will have. The rest of us will simply have to fake it, or remember when we felt it!

    • Jean, first I want to say I love your blog. I found you via twitter, I'm artofthespa on twitter. I have always stolen my brother's and dad's jeans, pairing them with ultra fem tops. Have to say I like the "real thing" better than the "designed" ones - already broken in. However, I am more of a straight body, with narrow hips, so men's jeans fit me.
    • I agree, if you have an authentic pair of "boyfriend " jeans - that's the way to go. They look better, and you get to save $200 bucks! I'm glad you like the blog! Thanks for checking in.
    • Hehe-good post. I love my own jeans, but there is something pretty cool about this style as well.
    • I agree with you, most celebs don't really pull the look off. I don't think the key is to look like your boyfriend, which is the result for many.
    • Exactly. It's not actually about looking like a guy. It's about interpreting the look in a feminine way.
