the platform bootie?

Leave a response ->

One of my favorite shows, growing up, was The Munsters. My favorite character was Herman. Herman was the silly Frankenstein character who would clunk around in his over sized platforms. So, when I look at these boots, I’m immediately reminded of the clumsy giant. With that vision in mind it’s obviously hard for me to see the platform bootie in a fashionable way. I’m more than willing to admit that I’ve got it all wrong, and that they are the coolest things to hit the shoe shelves. They would certainly give me the height I need, but the bulk of the boot may take me over. Tell me, what do you think? Are you running out to buy your platform booties? What are you wearing them with? Is it a legging look? Or a jeans look? I will listen, and I will write a post about it if I get enough feedback. Thanks!

      Just wear those with pants and get it over with. That's what I do.
    • I kind of agree with you here. I LOVE latforms and wedges but I just don't like them on (or better, under) a bootie. They make me think of cheesy super-heroines and future-dwelling girls with shiny metallic catsuits on, I don't know why - I'm sure that like you, there must be a connection with shows I watched as a little girl, but right now I can't put the finger on it.

      So when I choose a bootie, I go for heels. :-)
    • Yeah, I just don't love how bulky they look. However, I'm sure there is some FAB girl who makes these look awesome!
