second time around – wedding style

This time you’re wiser, this time you’re self-assured, and this time there’s a undying strength in your spirit. There’s an ease in your step, a knowing in your face. You’re not the innocent doe-eyed young girl who walked the aisle before. You’ve done the “fairy-tale” thing, you’ve seen what happens after “happily ever after” and you walk into this marriage with sophistication. You should celebrate that. You don’t have to down-play a second marriage. It should be a celebration, and a collaboration. Be at ease, breathe it in, and try to be comfortable in your own skin – I’m sure you’ve earned it.

Bridal style:
1. Forget the princess cut dress, pick a dress that echoes elegance.
2. Your hair should fall naturally. Leave the uptight up-do for the rookie.
3. You’ve already been veiled, walk into this one seeing clearly.

You know, we should all consider a second marriage – even if it’s remarrying the one we chose the first time around. We grow so much from the first time we say ” I do”, and a celebration to recognize that would be brilliant!

      I think this could also be called, "grown-up bride". As a 37 year old first time bride last year, I definitely felt the same way - understated dress, hair down, no veil, outdoors, smaller, more casual, more "me"...well, because I had already figured out the real me, not the bridal industry me!

      We cannot wait for our second honeymoon...this year! I waited long enough for so much..not waiting for that!
    • I love that - the " grown-up bride". I think a lot of women are waiting to get married & therefore have a deeper understanding of who they are. Women simply get better as they age! Period!!
