tie dye denim … thumbs up or down?

Tie Dye Jeans -Really?

Tie dye or Acid wash – whatever you want to call it, I’m not in love with this trend. What do you think? Is it something the young girls are embracing as a nod to 80’s? If so, what are you wearing it with to make it work today? It’s not the “most” horrible thing I’ve seen, but I’m surprised we’re revisiting it after so many years. So Girls… educate me – what do you like about this trend?

anyone wearing these would instantly look treendier aand fresh.
its extrememly fashionable to wear them
    • I agree that only a very, very few uber hipsters can pull this off. For most people, THUMBS DOWN!

Thumbs down! You have to be a super trendy MKO type to even think of pull it off. 99% of the celebrities out there couldn't do, the average women should not ever think about attempting to bring this horrid 80s fashion throw back into 2009.

confession: I own an acid wash denim jacket, but I've had it for yeeeaars. I stopped wearing it because I forgot about it (or someone who cares about me hid it), but this reminder makes me want to revisit it.
    • I think it's horrible, it makes me cringe every time I see it. It's just too much. But I bet if there is ONE pair of cure tied died jeans out there, Kate Moss will find it, and then everyone will wear it. Anything short of that, and this trend will go back to the grave.

I do love the "forgive me fashion, for I have sinned" quote :-)

Bleh. I don't care for this at all! It's busy, dated, and not the way I like to wear denim. BUT, I love that it's out there for discussion...that's what makes fashion interesting!
